These are super simple and quick to make if you have a sewing machine and are a great way to use up leftover scrap bits of fabric.

Crochet, sew or make from card a crown for each child; which they could perhaps decorate as one of the party activities.

There are lots of great recipes online for homemade playdough, which you could gift in upcycled jam jars.

You can make these with bird seed and either coconut oil or gelatine. There are lots of options as to the mould you use; biscuit cutter, yogurt pot, paper cup etc. There are lots of videos on YouTube on how to make these, or Little Wood Walkers has a nice recipe using stale bread that you can download for free.

You can make your own crayons by melting down old crayons on a low heat in a silicone mould to make new ones, which could be in fun shapes or letters of their name. Again you can find lots of instructions for this on YouTube.

This is a huge craze and you can find heaps of ideas and inspiration on Pinterest. You could personalise them with the children’s names.

Fairy Dust
Reuse little bottles and jars and fill them with biodegradable glitter to make fairy dust.
Crochet or Felt Fruit and Veg
These are great for a Hungry Caterpillar themed party and are always a fun addition to any child’s play kitchen.
Jewellery
You could make jewellery from wooden beads or reuse some from old necklaces picked up from charity shops, car boot sales or your local scrap scheme.
Tie-dye
You could tie-dye a t-shirt or some socks.
Bookmarks
You could design these digitally and print them out on card, or you could press some flowers and then put them through a laminating machine and cut them into bookmarks and add a ribbon tassel.

Super Hero Capes
Very easy to rustle up on a sewing machine. You can get fabric from your local scrap scheme, cut up some old sheets or get a free bundle of off-cut fabric from Contrado.
